Comprehensive UI design system to improve product experience and development efficiency.

Background
AfterShip has over 10 product lines managed by different teams. As product volume grew, maintenance costs and consistency issues emerged. Additionally, with AfterShip's brand refresh, products needed to better reflect the new brand values.
Challenge
Without a design system, components were often recreated and developed inconsistently, leading to inefficient processes and inconsistent user experiences.
Action
We built a comprehensive design system, integrating colors, typography, icons, and standardized components into an internal design system website. This system, maintained by both development and design teams, was gradually applied to redesign all customer-facing products.
Results
The design system reduced team communication costs and improved development efficiency. Product redesigns based on the system received positive user feedback.
